Fire Cider

The start of the year is typically the colder parts of the winter months here in Ireland. A perfect time to whip up another batch of Fire Cider. If you put a whole bunch of the best health boosting ingredients together, you are bound to end up with a good thing.

Fire Cider is good in smoothies, as a tonic,, in tea, in salads dressings, drizzled on roasted vegetables etc.

Here's our HomeGrownHOME version. I'm a firm believer in use what you have. We didn't have horseradish, we added more ginger root & garlic. We also substituted fresh jalapenos with pickled ones.

What's in the jar: 2 Lemons sliced 1 Orange sliced 1 Grapefruit Sliced Large Ginger root sliced 20 Garlic cloves peeled

1 large Onion Pickled jalapenos 2 Sprigs of Fresh Rosemary Large bunch of Parsley

2 Star Anise

Cinnamon Stick

Teaspoon Black Peppercorns

+Raw Honey 1/2 cup

Add to this about 3 cups of Organic Cider Vinegar with the mother.

-Place jar in cool dark place. Shake once a day to move things in there around a bit. -leave for 3-4 weeks. -strain liquid through a muslin.

-Add Raw Honey.

-Pour into sterilized bottles with lids. -Keep refrigerated. -Take tablespoon per person per day.

-HGH-
